The slipper is an open shoe that is worn at home [1], formed by a sole and an upper that can be limited even to a simple strip. It differs from sandal because it has no closure around the ankle . The slippers are considered in the industrialized world of home footwear, but in past centuries and even today in many countries, especially in hot weather, they are used as footwear for all uses.
